Towards a More Connected Mediterranean: Med-TSO Releases 2025 Master Plan of Interconnections

Med-TSO has just released the 2025 edition of the Mediterranean Master Plan of Interconnections, updating its strategic vision for cross-border electricity interconnections across the region.

In this edition, 10 interconnection projects are assessed across five key corridors, including new links between Italy and Tunisia, Spain and Morocco, and Greece and Cyprus.

Built on a consistent scenario framework and robust cost-benefit methodology, the Master Plan confirms the strategic role of interconnections in enabling renewable energy integration, increasing security of supply, and enhancing socio-economic welfare.

This edition focuses on infrastructure readiness for 2030 and provides critical input for decision-makers, reinforcing Med-TSO’s commitment to building a sustainable, interconnected energy future for the Mediterranean.
