Med-TSO Executive Board Meeting June 16th, 2021

Med-TSO held its Executive Board meeting via online conference on June 16th, 2021,chaired by President Chaher Boulakhras (PDG of Sonelgaz, Algeria).

The President welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of tight cooperation with the stakeholders, in particular with COMELEC (Comité Maghrébin de l’Electricité) and ENTSO-E (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity). According to the President of Med-TSO, this is essential to reinforce the dialogue and the formal coordination among the two Associations, which is key for the effective and common development of TEASIMED activities.

The Executive Board meeting was also the occasion to update on the status of TEASIMED project. In this sense, the Board was informed about the project’s implementation by the project manager, Simone Biondi who highlighted how the project is well in motion and complying with the allotted timeline.

The online conference concluded with the restated commitment and support of all participants  to the project and to all the activities needed to strenghten the cooperation with other keen Energy Associations to achieve an integrated, secure and sustainable regional electricity transmission grid.
