Today Med-TSO held its 32nd General Assembly, hosted by Red Eléctrica in Madrid.
The President opened the meeting by extending sincere thanks to Red Eléctrica, which also offered a visit to their Control Center before the meeting, defining this visit as an inspiring reminder of the complex, critical infrastructure managed by the members.
The meeting mostly focused on a comprehensive status update on the TEASIMED 2 project, which is approaching its closing phase, and the beginning of the new project, TEASIMED 3.
The Assembly reviewed the noteworthy progress achieved in the frame of Teasimed 2, on both the technical and financial activities, and a crucial item was the finalization of the planning for the project’s closing events, which include upcoming road shows scheduled in Jordan and Morocco, and culminating in the Closing Conference to be held in Brussels.
Looking ahead to the new project spanning the years 2026 to 2029, the Secretariat presented the preparatory work done for the new Project to officially commence on 1st January 2026.
The meeting also served as an occasion to review the Association’s current financial status. This included a detailed report on membership contributions, the pre-closing financial figures for 2025, and a comprehensive presentation of the strategic budget covering the years 2026 through 2028.
As is customary, the Assembly concluded with the important report from the Secretariat detailing the Association’s relations with key stakeholders and its activity across various external events.
