Med-TSO Extraordinary General Assembly, Rome 18th November – Cartella stampa italiana

On Thursday, April 16, 2015 , the General Assembly of Med -TSO took place in Rome in the premises of Palazzo della Farnesina which was made available to the Association by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Prior to it’s opening, the General Assembly, received institutional greetings from the Italian Government, represented by the Minister Plenipotentiary Mr. Enrico Granara, Multilateral Affairs coordinator in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, and from Ms. Annamaria Villa, Head of the European Politics Department at the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers. After the opening speech of the President of Med-TSO, Mr. Boutarfa, the Assembly has pursued its work in camera. Indeed, the balance sheet and income statements in 2014 and the 2015 budget have been approved and the statement of the first three years of activity of the Association has been presented by the General Secretary Mr. Michelangelo Celozzi. The Assembly has then approved the admission of ” Cyprus TSO ” as the 18th member of Med-TSO. During the afternoon, the President Boutarfa laid the basis for the upcoming three-year term, proposing a new internal organization, approved by the Assembly in order to face the new challenges posed by the development of the Mediterranean Project, shared and co-financed by the EU. The last point was the renewal of the Executive Board, with the election of the President, the Vice-presidents and the General Secretary for the next term. After the voting procedure, Mr. Noureddine Boutarfa (from Sonelgaz) has been reelected as President of Med-TSO, Mr. Ibrahim Balanuye (from TEIAS), Mr. Victor Baptista (from REN) and Mr. Abdellatif Bardach (from ONEE) have been elected as Vice-presidents and Mr. Michelangelo Celozzi (from Terna) was reappointed as General Secretary.
