Starting from 25 May 2018, comes into force the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, which substitute, in the Italian territory, the previous Legislative Decree No. 196/2003. These new rules concerning also the use of cookies.
Cookie are small text files that are sent to your device (usually to the browser), where they are saved and then sent back to the same websites the next time you visit them. cookie are used to perform computer authentication, session monitoring and saving specific information about users who log on to the server. This information is usually present in each user’s browser in a very large number.
In this regard, there are therefore two macro-categories: “technical” cookie and “profiling” cookie.
This website uses only technical cookie, i.e., those used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, or insofar as this is strictly necessary to the provider of an information society service that has been explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide the said service” (see Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website.
They can be divided into browsing or session cookie that ensure normal browsing and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or to log in for access to reserved areas); analytics cookie, which can be equated to technical cookie are used to collect aggregate information on the number of visitors and the pattern of visits to the website; functional cookie, which allow users to navigate as a function of certain predetermined criteria such as language or products to be purchased so as to improve the quality of service.
Users’ prior consent is not necessary to install these cookie, whilst information under EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 has to be provided in the manner considered to be most appropriate by the website manager if only such cookie are relied upon.
The acquisition and processing of data arising from the use of technical cookie is mandatory for consultation of the website. If you do not grant your consent, you cannot view the company website completely and correctly.
Most browsers allow you to control, change and prevent the installation of cookie through their preferred settings.
