Mr Mourad Adjal (Sonelgaz, Algeria) elected as new Med-TSO President
This past Monday, February 28th, Med-TSO has elected the new President, Mr. Mourad Adjal, who will take over from Mr Chaher Boulakras and chair the Association until 2023.
Mr. Adjal has been recently appointed as President and Director General (PDG) of Sonelgaz (Algeria), one of Med-TSO’s founding members. He has a broad experience in the sector, and he will contribute with this know-how and expertise to consolidate the work of Med-TSO, aiming at facilitating the creation of a Mediterranean energy market and developing an integrated, secure and sustainable regional electricity transmission network by strengthening cooperation between the member countries. Mr. Adjal confirmed his commitment to ensure continuity in achieve the objectives of Med-TSO through the realization of ongoing and planned projects. In his words, “[I am] ready to take up the new challenges, with the contribution of the different members of our Association, related to the new energy mix of tomorrow, which the world must face, oriented towards new energy models, clearly different from the classical ones.”
